This book is published on the occasion of the inauguration of the first collection tour, "A History of Fashion. Collecting, Exhibiting at the Palais Galliera", presented at the Palais Galliera from 02.10.2021 to 26.06.2022; Publisher: Paris Musées

Produced for the first presentation in the new galleries of the Palais Galliera, A History of Fashion at the Palais Galliera traces the history of fashion and the history of the collections of the Palais Galliera, from the origins of the Société de l'Histoire du Costume to the important acquisitions made by the museum in recent years.
Through the most beautiful pieces from the museum's various departments, from the 17th to the 21st centuries, photography, graphic arts and accessories, this book tells the story of the Palais Galliera and its collections from a new perspective. Intended to become a reference on the museum's collections, the book offers different levels of reading in order to address the general public as well as specialists and fashion connoisseurs.
The photographic campaign was entrusted to Stanislas Wolff, whose sense of composition and lighting particularly highlights the masterpieces of the Palais Galliera.
