This work offers the hieroglyphic transcription, transliteration and translation of an "Osirian Ritual for the Month of Khoïak" presented by the "Papyrus Louvre N. 3176 S." Of Theban origin, it entered the collections of the Louvre Museum in Paris in 1855 following a donation made by the French vice-consul in Suez, Louis Batissier. This papyrus is dated to the Greco-Roman period and, closely resembling the papyrus "Bremner-Rhind," it should, like it, date back to the end of the reign of Alexander IV, the son of Alexander the Great, who succeeded Philip III Arrhidaeus and was the last Macedonian pharaoh in Egyptian history (c. 312-311 BC). Written in hieratic and running from right to left, it has 6 columns spread over a length of 48.5 cm and a height of 23.5 cm. The text is divided into two parts: 1) the "Exit in procession of Ptah-Sokar-Osiris" with the Litanies of Sokar, 2) the Osirian ceremonies of the month of Khoïak.
