This catalogue will be based on three main sections, successively presenting the presence of Greek vases depicted in Marseille and at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, the escape into vases thanks to banquets and a series of Mediterranean journeys of Greek heroes (Jason, Theseus, Ulysses, Heracles) within which two vases will be the object of particular interest: the cup of Arkesilaus from the BnF and the umbilicated cup of the Pharo from the Musée d'Histoire de Marseille. This work for the general public aims to highlight the artistic, historical or archaeological value of the treasures brought together for this exceptional exhibition. Each part will be composed of one or more illustrated essays and notes, also illustrated.
