Almost nothing is known about the life of this rogue poet, except that he was born in Venice in 1924 and that at the age of 25 he became a scandalous figure for being the instigator of the proclamation of the death of God, by a false priest, in the middle of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
This collection, which brings together his publications in journals, his preface to Artaud's manuscripts (which he discovered and published in 1953) and his texts for his journal En marge, is enriched with previously unpublished pieces. For the first time, his "influential novel-film", a 78-page collage manuscript, and his correspondence (with Wolman, Debord, Koenig, Mariën, Magritte, Étiemble, Breton, etc.) are offered.
We also follow him through his many legal troubles and prison stays, until we lose all trace of him in the early 1970s.
