PasséPrésent was conceived by Sarah Moon as a dialogue between the photographs, films and books that the artist has produced since the beginning of her career.

Sarah Moon, who began her career as a model in the 1960s, taught herself photography and designed her first fashion campaigns, which met with international acclaim—particularly for the Cacharel brand. She created a fictional universe inspired by literary and cinematic references.

In the mid-1980s, she began a more personal practice, which extended her research into the creation of narratives, photographic illusions and their disappearance in the passage of time. Approaching Sarah Moon's work requires us to reexamine our temporal values and their delimitations.

In keeping with this vision, the photographer sought to cross-pollinate eras, typologies, and subjects. Her images feed off one another and continue to live on in the exhibition, allowing the visitor to create other immaterial images through these connections.
