"It was thanks to the small lead soldiers from the First Empire that belonged to my father and Jean-Paul Kauffmann's travelogue "The Dark Room of Longwood" that I went to Saint Helena. Having always had a great attraction to islands, I decided to take an interest in this rock located in the middle of the South Atlantic to photograph the landscapes of Napoleon's exile, thus continuing the construction of a unique personal archipelago."
