This work offers the translation of three Rituals which are written on 17 of the 62 columns of the Papyrus of Imouthes. Coming from Meir, this papyrus is preserved at the Metropolitan Museum of New York. Written in hieratic, 10.9 m long and 23 cm high, it is dated to the Macedonian period, around 320 BC. The Ritual of “Glorification of Osiris” belongs to the family of liturgical texts with a funerary vocation. These are invocations addressed to Osiris to help him settle in the Duat. The Mysteries of the Four Balls relates to four clay balls thrown towards the four cardinal points for the protection of Osiris. The Ritual to “bring out Sokar” is a litany of invocations intended to accompany Sokar’s exit from his sanctuary, the Chétyt.
