This issue explores the history of political refugees in the ancient Greek world, spanning the Archaic period to the Roman conquest of Greece, and from a broad geographical perspective, as it is not limited to the Athenian reality. The subject is approached from three different angles: a descriptive approach to literary sources on political refugees, which does not neglect religious and anthropological aspects; a more strictly historical and historiographical perspective that highlights the history and treatment of refugees by countries of origin and host countries; and a philosophical investigation of political exile in terms of attitudes and mentalities towards life in exile.
