This book aims to follow, from Antiquity to the present day, the history, sometimes ironic, and the posthumous destiny of some pharaohs and queens. As in a portrait gallery, we find vaguely familiar names, illustrious unknowns and international celebrities: Khufu, Tutankhamun, Akhenaten, Nefertiti, Ramses, Cleopatra.
