Michael Simonow has built up, over forty years, a collection of masterpieces by the greatest masters: Rubens, Renoir, Monet. Seduced by the beauty of the Cistercian abbey of Flaran, he entrusted his prestigious collection, which continues to grow over the years, to the General Council of Gers. After an initial book devoted to portraits, this one highlights the landscapes from this collection, through more than thirty works that offer a cross-section of the great European artistic movements, from the 17th to the 20th century.
