In search of a hypothetical origin of art, like many of his contemporaries, Paul Klee focused his attention on the creation of "children, madmen, and primitives." The exhibition "Paul Klee. Between Worlds" renews the dialogue between works created at different periods of his career and a collection of objects and documents from his personal collection. It takes a critical look at the way in which children's drawings, prehistoric art, non-Western art, and asylum art allowed Klee to rethink his art and situate himself in an intermediate space, halfway between the myth of an "immemorial fund" and that of modernity.
