Artist Pascal Convert confronted the Bamiyan cliff, whose two immense Buddhas were destroyed by the Taliban in 2001. Using thousands of 3D scans and photographic surveys taken with cutting-edge scientific equipment, he created a monumental work that provides a highly accurate view of the 1,800-meter-long cliff and the hundreds of sanctuary caves that compose it.
