It is quite common to claim to "live with one's dead," not knowing whether to emphasize the possessive adjective or to consider with the same respect those who, encountered one day, are now nothing more than shadows: relatives, parents, friends, vague acquaintances... Taking the expression literally, Lionel Bourg has hardly wanted in these pages to welcome the presence, diffuse or insistent, light or heavy, incongruous or even facetious, of the deceased who have become strangely familiar. A ghost ball, in short, more than a macabre dance, angels appear, coming without further explanation from a Wim Wenders film, a Hopper painting or, surprisingly, a female apparition in a cave in the Périgord. Reverie, meditation tinged with humor, play of the dead and the living, the essential thing for the author was perhaps that, however panting, literature had the last word here...
