Normal Studio is a young Parisian industrial design agency, founded in 2006 by Jean-François Dingjian (born in 1966) and Éloi Chafaï (born in 1979). They met in 2000 at the École nationale supérieure de création industrielle (ENSCI) in Paris, where one was a professor and the other a student. A duo was formed and their work quickly gained recognition in the French and international design world. The studio was notably selected by Philippe Starck and the Maison & Objet trade fair to be among the ten designers of the year 2010. This book offers a unique reflection on the work of the two designers, who define themselves as "normal design creators."

Folding, molding, dipping, milling... so many processes from which Normal Studio designs innovative and ingenious works. The two designers reject demonstrative and spectacular design, preferring a work of simplicity, of the essential, with the constant concern for utility, and which relies on the technical possibilities of industrial production. The first book dedicated to Normal Studio, this work presents in detail twelve projects, each accompanied by photographs specially taken and whose staging was conceived by the designers themselves.
