Jean-François Jaussaud met Louise Bourgeois in 1994 in her Brooklyn studio. After being scrutinized by his questions, the photographer was finally approved by the artist. A first meeting took place in the spring of 1995, but on one condition: destroy the images if he didn't like them... Jaussaud accepted and passed the "test." He then received carte blanche to freely photograph the studio and the Chelsea house. He would return for eleven years. These rare images show one of the greatest contemporary artists in her intimacy, at the heart of her work.
