The Mexican Journey , the legendary book by Bernard Plossu published in 1979, is finally reissued in its original version, accompanied by Jungle , an unpublished book of color photographs that he took at the same time during an expedition in the jungle of Mexican Chiapas. The whole thus constituted reveals how a young man of barely twenty years old, a lover of art-house cinema and mainstream films, spontaneously put in place from his beginnings as a photographer a personal aesthetic without knowing anything about the important photographers of his time. And at the same time, whether on the road through the poetic approach of the Mexican Journey or the narrative approach of Jungle , we feel that everything is already in place: the awareness of his becoming an author and his conceptual approach through books designed as works in their own right.


The two works, printed in 1000 copies and sold exclusively together, are presented under a dust jacket.
