This work offers the hieroglyphic transcription, transliteration and translation of the "Book of Two Paths".
Known exclusively from sarcophagus collections from El-Bersheh, the "Book of Two Paths" is divided into two distinct sets:
a) “Text I” in which four sections can be distinguished:
-from spell [1029] to spell [1069]: presentation of the two paths, underpinned by the earth/water and solar/lunar dualities;
- from spell [1070] to spell [1087]: end of the two paths (with possible crossings) at Rosetau;
- from spell [1088] to spell [1099]: dwelling of Maat (order and light, as opposed to darkness) in the lunar domain;
- from spell [1100] to spell [1130]: the seven gateways to the Beyond, with the creation of the world then the return to the initial state;
b) "Text II", an often faulty and more concise variation of "Text I", which extends from spell [1131] to spell [1185].
