Overcoming the problematic of art? In just a few years, Yves Klein made a radical break with what he called "learned optics," and prefigured most of the currents of contemporary art. He also wrote extensively about, and on the fringes of, his visual work. This volume, which brings together for the first time the texts published during his lifetime and after his death, will allow us to appreciate that writing, far from constituting a marginal territory, occupied a large part of his time and that he engaged in it in very diverse ways: in the tradition of the avant-gardes, through manifestos and speeches, or notes, monologues and patents. He is at once enthusiastic, audacious and funny, but above all, consistent in his demonstration.
