Studying cults in Antiquity means questioning the interactions between gods and men. However, it is a matter of going beyond simple description or mythological narrative to understand their complexity. This work proposes to focus on the goddesses of Gaul, Belgium and the Germanies during the Early Empire and to reconstruct the pattern underlying the cults through a multidimensional approach: first, a study of the goddesses, their origins and their transformations; then, an analysis of the rites and forms of worship; finally, a chronological, geographical and sociological approach to identify the major breaks, the provincial particularities and the expectations of the dedicators.
