The aim of the study day, organized within the framework of UMR 8167 "Orient and Mediterranean" and the doctoral school 1 "Ancient and Medieval Worlds" at the University of Paris-Sorbonne, was to illustrate the exceptional richness of Anatolia. The proposed studies range from the end of the Mycenaean period to the imperial era. Geographically, we find here brought together historical works on the regions of the Troad, Lycia, Cappadocia, Armenia and Anatolia as a whole and linguistic works on the prehistory of Greek using its closest neighbor, Phrygian, on the relationship between Greek and Lycian and on the invention of the Greek and Anatolian alphabets.
