For centuries, in cities and countryside alike, Jewish artistic sense flourished in Morocco: precious and non-precious metals, manuscripts, various fabrics, leather, wood, etc. On many occasions it gave birth to exceptional pieces expressing the originality and gifts of creators and artisans, most often anonymous. André Goldenberg, an ethnologist born in Morocco, devoted a large part of his life and his knowledge to bringing together, for this work, these pieces, objects of worship or secular, always of absolute authenticity and extreme artistic quality.
