TMO - Archaeological Research Series 75 The necropolises of ancient Kition (beneath the modern city of Larnaca) have been the subject of numerous excavations since the 19th century: searches for antiquities have been followed by emergency excavations, without any exploration being able to be carried out in a planned manner, using the methods of stratigraphic and anthropological analysis. Between 2012 and 2014, the archaeological mission of Kition conducted systematic excavations in one of the city's Iron Age necropolises, at the place called Pervolia. Scheduled as part of a general study of urban topography in the Iron Age, this excavation allowed for a comprehensive study, both at the scale of the site (diachronic occupation of the space) and that of the tomb (architecture, cycle of use, funerary practices). The results of this work occupy the majority of this volume, which is supplemented by the publication of material from tombs discovered during earlier excavations on the same site and that of emergency excavations carried out by the Department of Antiquities of Cyprus in 2012 in another necropolis of the city, at the place called Tourapi. The volume is edited by Anna Cannavò, Sabine Fourrier and Alexandre Rabot, in collaboration with Anna Satraki for the publication of the excavations of Kition-Tourapi. Several specialists have kindly provided their assistance: Fabien Belhaoues, Rémi Corbineau, Nathalie Delhopital, Nathalia Denninger, Lluis Garcia Petit, Armelle Gardeisen, Anna Georgiadou, Evangéline Markou, Maria A. Socratous and Prisca Vareilles.
