This book explores the work of Jean Pierre Blanche and invites us to (re)discover the different components of his work.
First of all, the subjects and their consistency, which are expressed vertically in the series of Portraits of Men and Trees. Then come the large horizontal lines of the Marines and the Nights, where everything is still. Drawing and color respond to each other to best capture the impressions of light that the painter seeks to render with the slightest precision. These large pastels are the expression of this intimate relationship with nature, of this very special presence that the painter maintains with the world.
