With this third edition, the Centre Pompidou continues its commitment made four years ago to the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis and the Villa Noailles as part of a partnership agreement. This fruitful collaboration confirms the Centre Pompidou's desire to develop its regional partnerships in line with its cultural policy of territorial decentralization by reaffirming its mission to disseminate its collections to as wide an audience as possible. With 120,000 works, the most important collection in Europe is presented here through around one hundred works by more than fifty major creators of modern design from the early 20th century. This exhibition aims to retrace, in a thematic journey, the adventure of modernity in France in the 1920s and 1930s, through the revolution of the domestic interior.
