This work studies a corpus of 79 non-funerary inscriptions from Ptolemaic Alexandria, the provenance of which is certain or highly probable, discovered during the 19th and 20th centuries, and belonging to a period which goes from the foundation of Alexandria in 331 until the Roman conquest in 30 BC, that is to say approximately two and a half centuries.
