Di Rosa became known in the early 1980s at the
within the Free Figuration movement, drawing its inspiration
in popular culture, particularly comics.
He then devoted himself to a unique project: entrusting his
images of different crafts and techniques from around the world
(from Sofia to Lisbon, including Ghana,
Ethiopia, Vietnam, Mexico, Florida or Andalusia).
Alongside his art, Di Rosa collects what he calls
the modest arts, these aesthetic productions made in
outside the field of Fine Arts. In 2000, he created in Sète, a town
where it originates, a museum dedicated to these productions, the
International Museum of Modest Arts.
Around the works of the Around the World project
entered into the collection, the exhibition "Di Rosa, le passemondes" brings together works from the Figuration period
free, modest art objects and recent paintings in order to
to give an overview of this artist like no other
similar.
