An exhibition dedicated to artistic works by Francisco de Goya y Lucientes is organized from November 7, 2019 to February 10, 2020 by the Museum of Fine Arts of the City of Agen, in the former church of the Jacobins; The exhibition project is based on in-depth research concerning the purchase in Madrid in the 19th century by the Count of Chaudordy, French ambassador to Madrid from 1874 to 1881, of eight works created or attributed to Goya. This event follows the study days organized by the Louvre Museum and the Center for Research and Restoration of the Museums of France in January 2013, followed in April by those devoted to the works of several museums in France, including Agen: two international events which brought together curators and specialists.
