For this first publication dedicated to the garden of the Musée des Impressionnismes de Giverny, designed by landscaper Mark Rudkin and rich in more than 22,000 planted flowers, the Museum gave Terri Weifenbach carte blanche to tell the story over a year.
The American photographer was inspired by the Impressionists who stayed nearby a century and a half ago. Through her lens, the colors of nature are evoked with touches, like those of a paintbrush, and become visual sensations. Thanks to her photographic mastery, Terri Weifenbach succeeds in recreating the different seasons and the power of the colors that have made the place famous, and invites us on a stroll that is both pictorial and contemplative throughout the pages. A text by Cyrille Sciama, director of the Museum, accompanies this tour.
