Giuseppe Penone, who stayed at the La Tourette convent several times, was struck by the links that can be perceived between architecture and nature, particularly between Le Corbusier's stilts and the trees in the forest surrounding the convent.
The imprints of the wooden planks of the formwork visible on the raw concrete walls particularly caught his attention, to the point of creating works which reveal the traces of plants on the concrete walls.
This work brings together in situ views, unpublished works, older works but also texts by Didier Semin, Henry-Claude Cousseau and an interview with the artist conducted by Brother Marc Chauveau.
