Four years after its opening, ARCHÉA invites the Gauls of Parisis to the museum. Rediscovered a few years ago, the Gallic peoples are now experiencing a strong enthusiasm from scientists and the public. And established research is challenging preconceived ideas. Thanks to recent archaeological excavations carried out particularly in rural areas, the Parisii, farmers, artisans, and sometimes artists, are being revealed. Once again, ARCHÉA allows visitors to explore the local territory by evoking human occupation but also the daily life of these Gauls of Parisis. The discoveries of necropolises, and in particular spectacular tombs where the deceased is buried on a ceremonial chariot, bear witness to practices in life as well as in death.
