This book aims to constitute an experimental territory: a photo essay.
Vincent Genet seeks to create a new space within the double page, that of the fresco: the dispersion of images of different formats, the partial superposition of some of them, the transition to the next page, constitutes for him a sensitive space to convey a particularly subjective personal feeling. We encounter current ordinary life in Lebanon in its diversity, – the photographs were taken in 2021-2022, after the popular uprisings that followed the explosion at the port of Beirut (August 4, 2020) and clashes between Lebanese forces, Hezbollah and the Amal movement.
This work, terribly topical, borrows from the documentary tradition all the signs of committed testimony.
