Eugène Atget (1857-1927), the famous self-taught photographer who immortalized "Old Paris" at the turn of the 20th century, needs no introduction. This is the subject of the exhibition "Eugène Atget, Poet Photographer" at the origin of this book, organized by the Museum of Fine Arts of Libourne with the exceptional collaboration of the Carnavalet Museum - History of Paris, Paris Museums. Most of the works exhibited there are reproduced and organized around the major themes illustrating the work of Eugène Atget.
