The eight contributions study the economic repercussions of the inclusion of Asia Minor in the political space of the Roman Empire. Two themes are central to the investigation. On the one hand, the aim is to understand the mechanisms of diffusion of imperial property based on a broad revision of the sources, in order to determine to what extent the emperor had a policy of patrimonial acquisition in the region. On the other hand, case studies demonstrate the importance of Roman taxation and the needs of the army in the restructuring of the region's economic landscape.
