These rather decorative paintings, a sort of homage to femininity, tell a somewhat unfinished story that the viewer can recompose as they wish.
From this world visible to the characters emanates the invisible, a questioning of presence and absence. "It is in the in-between and the open that my pictorial work is situated," explains Françoise Dussuyer. An enigmatic work. The feminine silhouettes, most often seen from behind, assert a great elegance, wrapped, almost hidden in large dresses made of fabric decorated with flowers and a thousand other designs. These paintings present themselves as an enigma to be deciphered in the refined and demanding work of this painting. The mixed technique allows drawing and erasing while preserving traces. Delicate shapes and colors of soft blue, grayish white or stronger tones of deep red, brown are in constant dialogue.
School teacher Florence Dussuyer also dabbled in painting, then in 2015 she decided to devote herself solely to her art. After a Master's degree in Visual Arts in 2001, she completed an internship at the Ho Chi Minh Fine Arts School in Vietnam. This other culture was an opening for her, a freedom of expression. Marked by this oriental influence, her creation remains personal, thoughtful, poetic, it is the vector of her inner emotion and inhabited by a beautiful energy. The young women are associated with superb colorful exotic animals. A unique and rich work.
