From December 10, 2022 to April 16, 2023, the Musée Fabre presents an exhibition dedicated to the artist Djamel Tatah. Based in Montpellier since 2019, Djamel Tatah, born in 1959 in Saint-Chamond and trained at the Saint-Etienne School of Fine Arts, has been developing a painting of great sobriety since the 1980s, which places the human figure at the heart of deep colored flat tints. This exhibition, composed of around forty works, often in monumental format, seeks to highlight, within five thematic sections, the singularity of Tatah's work, which gives his painting a theatrical character.
