This publication contains a large part of the ostraca that were made during the construction work of the temples at the beginning of the 18th century. dynasty at Deir el-Bahari. These ostraca, numbering over 700, have remained largely unpublished more than a century after their discovery.
Most of the texts deal with the organization of construction work. Some ostraca refer to ritual service in temples. Finally, there are texts relating to the training of young scribes who practiced on classical literary works.
Volume I: Catalogue with translation and commentary.
Volume II: analysis of texts; lists of names of people, titles, words, toponyms, names of kings and gods and paleography.
Volume III: Facsimiles and Hieroglyphic Transcriptions. The photos, facsimiles, and hieroglyphic transcriptions of the ostraca are available online, along with a paleography of all the signs, in PDF format.
