The ancient Greek craft world, whose technical aspects have already been the subject of much research, hides other realities. The craftsman is not only a producer of material goods, but also an actor in religious life and evolves in a rich symbolic, psychological and social universe. The study of the religious practices of Greek craftsmen, from the Archaic period to the Hellenistic period, aims to explore this almost virgin field, whose clues, when they exist, are often discreet and scattered. The data collected nonetheless form a coherent corpus that draws a new profile of the craft world, with religious but also cultural and social specificities. The religious life of ancient Greek craftsmen reveals itself to be rich and varied, like the socially and culturally composite group that they constitute.
