Fortunio Liceti (1577-1657) was one of those scholars who were interested in just about everything. A philosopher, physician, and astronomer, in 1616 he wrote a book devoted to the subject of monsters. Although this work is now completely forgotten, the engravings that illustrate it must still be considered for their aesthetic value. This notebook invites you to discover some of them, like a small cabinet of curiosities, or like a book of imaginary beings, in the sense that Jorge Luis Borges understood it.
