Maps, Sidi Allal Tazi - Souq el arbaa du gharb - Mechraa Belqsiri.

VESAM II-3

Issues 1 and 2, which provided the first results of the surveys of the Sebou basin, were devoted respectively to the maps of Moulay Bousselham, Lalla Mimouna and Arbaoua (SM-MM-AR), which occupy the Atlantic plain on the borders of the basins of the Loukkos rivers to the north and Sebou to the south, and the second, to the maps of Kenitra and Sidi Yahia du Gharb (KE-YG), at the mouth of the Sebou wadi, that is to say to the region of Thamusida. This third issue brings together the three maps of Sidi Allal Tazi, Souq el Arbaâ du Gharb and Mechraâ Belqsiri (TZ-SG-MQ), and describes the main part of the right bank of the river and the vast plain which extends to the south of the Sebou on its left bank. Apart from urban and military sites, the three maps studied are, in the current state of our research, poor in rural ancient sites, if we compare them from this point of view with the set of Arbaoua-Lalla Mimouna (AR-MM) and Kénitra-Sidi Yahia al Gharb (KE-YG) maps, and of course with the region of Volubilis.
