This new issue of the Egyptian Ceramics Liaison Bulletin (BCE 28) presents, in the first part, the latest research in the field of ceramic studies with its "Regional Journey". The bulletin is enriched this year with the contribution of recent archaeological work carried out in Middle Egypt at Sheikh Fadl and on the site of Qubbet el-Hawa near Aswan. The other contributions provide ceramic studies from excavations that are ongoing, or even completed. They concern important sites such as Burg al-Zafar in Cairo, the necropolis of Dra' Abu el-Naga' and the temple of Karnak in the Theban region, or Sudan with the temples of Abu Erteila. These presentations are part of a broad chronological framework from the end of the New Kingdom to the medieval period. The second part of the work offers several thematic approaches under the title "Studies". The first article focuses on an emblematic ceramic family of the Old Kingdom with the Maidum-bowls of Ayn Asil in the oasis of Dakhla. A second contribution reports on the contribution of the study of ostraca for the dating of ceramic assemblages of the Byzantine period from the site of Ahmeda in the oasis of Dakhla. Two distinct contributions for the ancient Punic-Libyan world and for ancient Egypt, cross two cultures and two bread-making techniques with their specific ceramic utensils. Another multidisciplinary study, between archaeometallurgy and ceramology, describes the archaeological artefacts of the Roman forge of the site of Abu Rawash. Finally, the last contribution of the volume offers new developments on a technological subject still debated concerning the date of appearance of the rapid wheel in Egypt.
