This new volume of the Bulletin de liaison de la céramique égyptienne (BCE 25) continues the initial editorial line. Its primary aim is to present current developments in ceramic research by following a "Regional Journey in Egypt and Nubia for all periods of their history, from the Predynastic period to the medieval period. The BCE innovates, however, by proposing a second part entitled "Studies: Workshops and Ceramic Productions of Egypt, Nubia and Sudan." The emphasis is once again placed on ceramic workshops. But the reader will also find several studies on specific Egyptian ceramic productions. Cultural exchanges, through ceramics transiting between the Levant and Egypt and between Nubia and Egypt, also find their place in this volume. They concern a long chronological sequence that includes the Predynastic and Proto-Dynastic periods, the Middle Kingdom and the Second Intermediate Period and finally the Roman period.
