Bernard Guillouët (1929-2022), after the Beaux-Arts de Paris and the Urban Planning Institute of the University of Paris, opened a practice in Vannes and then Arradon. He was a member of the State's consulting architects. This beautiful book, the first to be dedicated to him, explores, illustrates, and comments on his work, through 400 archival and photographic documents, with a complete chronology of his projects. His projects are mainly in Morbihan and Sarthe, focused on individual and collective housing, with also public facilities programs and urban projects, one of which will be a winner of the National Housing Awards. But it is particularly in his houses around the Gulf of Morbihan that his contribution to modern architecture is most evident and that he has aroused respect and admiration.
