The exhibition "Trailer, The Pigozzi Collection in Cannes" prefigures the new museum project of the City of Cannes, dedicated to contemporary African art and the world-renowned collection that Jean Pigozzi has been developing since 1989. Through a selection of 103 works by 27 artists from sub-Saharan Africa, this event draws a subjective portrait of African creation from the 1950s to the present day, one of the most dynamic art scenes in the world. It features iconic works from the Pigozzi Collection by major figures in contemporary African art such as Chéri Samba, Esther Mahlengu, Seyni Awa Camara, Frédéric Bruly Bouabré, and Bodys Isek Kingelez.
