The Medieval Art in the Alps network brings together eight partner institutions for an exhibition project: the Diocesan Museum of Susa, the Palazzo Madama-Museo civico d'arte antica in Turin, the Education and Culture Department of the Aosta Valley, the Cantonal History Museum of Valais, the Art and History Museum of Geneva, the Annecy Castle Museum, and the Musée Savoisien. This network aims to study and showcase medieval collections preserved in the territory of the former States of Savoy, notably through group exhibitions. An exhibition "Gold at your Fingertips" will present artists and craftsmen in different fields: furniture in Sion, goldsmith busts in Turin and Aosta, a goldsmith workshop in Susa, and sculpture in Annecy. These various exhibitions designated under this title will open in the fall of 2020. They will then be grouped together and synthesized by an exhibition at the Musée Savoisien, which will conclude this project at the earliest by the end of 2021.
