A catalog for the exhibition of the same name, A House For ED is a tribute to Emily Dickinson, an important figure in American literature. It takes as its starting point certain significant elements related to the poet's biography and her writings to focus on the themes of home, isolation, introspection, creation, and the repressed. An isolation similar to that of the artist in the studio or the photographer in the darkroom. Six photographers offer original work on these themes.
Ultimately, A House For ED aims to symbolically recreate the Amherst house while offering a version close to the state of mind in which Emily Dickinson inhabited it and with which she literally became one.
